Helping Hand- support with shopping and prescriptions?
We are able to help with shopping and prescriptions. As we get busier, and in order to protect our volunteers, we ask that people follow these guidelines as much as possible:
give us at least 24 hours notice of shopping and prescription requests
use cash as a last resort when paying us for your shopping (cheque or bank transfer preferred please)
we will tell you the name of the volunteer dropping off your shopping and you can ask to see the person's photo I/D
please don't ask our volunteers into your house - they will knock on your door, put your goods on your doorstep and stand a safe distance away and will wait for you to write out your cheque if this is your method of payment
To request help, email firstname.lastname@example.org or leave a message on our office phone 01270 872291 with your contact details and we aim to be in touch as quickly as possible.
