Well done!!! You found the fifth clue!!!

The Mystery...

Part 5 -  Jesus Sentenced

Picture

What's Happened So Far?

  • After being betrayed by Judas, Jesus was handed over to the Jewish authorities, who in turn took him to the Roman governor Pontius Pilate.
  • Pilate could find no reason to execute Jesus – he had not done anything wrong according to Roman law, but the Jewish leaders insisted, and so Pilate ‘washed his hands’ of the case and Jesus was sentenced to be executed.

Something To Think About:

Jesus was not intimidated by Pilate’s power and the lies of the people. Sometimes we’ll have to opportunity to stand up for what’s right, even when it feels like the whole world is against us.

The bible says “Do not let anyone treat you as if you are unimportant because you are young. Instead, be an example to the believers with your words, your actions, your love, your faith, and your pure life.“

What issues or situations can you think of where you can stand up and set an example for others?
