Well done!!! You found the sixth clue!!!

The Mystery...

Part 6 -  Jesus Whipped

Picture

What's Happened So Far?

  • After Pilate ‘washes his hands’ of responsibility and hands Jesus over to be executed, he is lead away to be whipped.
  • The soldiers also strip Jesus, force a crown of thorns onto his head, and make fun of him, dressing him as a king and hanging a sign around his neck that says “This is the King of the Jews”.

Something To Think About:

Sometimes when we think about the Easter story it’s easy to forgot how much Jesus suffered. Before dying the most gruesome death the Romans could inflict, he was tortured and humiliated, but even at the end he asked God to forgive those who had harmed him.

We may think that there are things we’ve done that God could never forgive us for, but this is NOT true. God loves us, and wants to forgive us for the wrong we’ve done, we just have to ask.
