Who are we?

Christ Church Alsager is a lively part of the Church of England in South Cheshire.
We’re a mixed band of people of all ages from different backgrounds. Some of us have a strong faith, others are searching.
Our style is relaxed and friendly - whether in our Sunday worship services or midweek activities.
Whether you’ve never been to church before or you’re a committed Christian, do come along, take a look and find out more.

You are very welcome.

What we are about

Our Vision Statement
We aim to be a loving and growing community which is Bible-based and Holy Spirit-led. We worship Jesus and seek to serve him in our everyday lives.

Our Core Values
We are a lively Anglican church who believe that Romans Chapter 12 provides a model for how to be a follower of Jesus, how to be a church that is part of the body of Christ and how to be Christ’s body in the world.

To help us live by this model, everything we do is underpinned by the following values:

Worship
Worship is at the heart of everything we do.
Offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God – this is your true and proper worship. Romans 12:1

Prayer
Prayer is essential as we seek to do God’s will.
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Romans 12:12

Community
We are a family designed to be in relationship with God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) and with each other. We seek to develop and deepen our relationships.
Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. Romans 12:4-5

Discipleship
By following Jesus we will grow into God’s plan for us and will discover fullness of life.
Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2

Compassion
Jesus met people at their point of need and revealed his love and truth. We aim to follow his example in our community, in our everyday lives.
Love must be sincere. Romans 12:9

Hospitality
We seek to befriend and encourage all in our community. Everyone can expect a warm welcome at Christ Church.
Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality. Romans 12:13

Together, we want to explore what it means to live as Christians in the world today. Our teaching is Bible-based, made relevant to everyday living. We are open to the work of the Holy Spirit amongst us and have a desire to share God’s love with our community.

There are many ways to get involved in the life of the church. A great way to start exploring faith is on one of our Alpha Courses.
For those who want to journey on, then we highly recommend joining one of our Growth Groups - where you will meet new friends and be able to grow stronger in your faith together.
We are influenced by national organisations such as Alpha and New Wine.
