FoodbankHelp needed at The Alsager FoodbankWe have been advised that the number of people now needing the foodbank in Alsager is growing. A peak is expected in numbers after Easter.
We aim to provide food for a minimum of 3 days up to a maximum of 5. You won’t always have everything listed below, so please substitute with what you have, bearing in mind what we’re trying to achieve. It’s a good idea to think about how you could use what’s in the foodbox to cook meals for yourself. People may not be able to build up a complete parcel, but if they can, it will help ease the work for the foodbank knowing that a parcel
already represents a single person / couple / family of 4. Once complete, the parcels can be taken to the foodbank - through the metal gate between the community church and the community support centre. If an item(s) has not been able to be purchased, leave a note on the parcel saying what is missing One or Two item donations
We all need to stay inside now to help save lives which means we have less places to donate items of food. You may have struggled to get items of food to donate due to shortages! We would like to help you get food to us safely We are open for donations to be dropped off on Tuesday and Thursday mornings 10.00-12.00 if that is not suitable ring us on 07743 659906 or email alsager Foodbank@aol.co.uk to make mutually convenient arrangements or leave it in Asda or Sainsbury's collection points, just one or two items when you are doing your weekly shop will make all the difference to local people who are being referred. |
