We have a fantastic mix of people here at Christ Church Alsager - and we believe in everyone using their God-given gifts as part of the church, so that we can express our love for God and our love for others most effectively. There are plenty of ways to get involved.
Here are just a few of the people you may meet:
Daran Ward - Vicar Daran married to Aly and they have two grown up sons. He has been our vicar at Christ Church since March 2019, having moved here from Rotherham where he led two parishes. Daran was called into ordained ministry after 20 years in the IT industry. He is passionate about helping people discover and grow a life-giving relationship with Jesus Christ. Daran loves hiking and on Tuesday nights you will probably find him out running with the local running club.
Debbie Preston - Administrator Debbie is a mother of four. She provides a warm welcome in our church office - the first point of contact for pretty much everything!
Jen Follett - Family & Children's Leader Jen is married to Dave and has two grown up daughters. She is passionate about sharing God's love with families and growing mini evangelists for our future church.
Sam Parnell - Youth Leader Sam is passionate about young people developing their full potential.
Richard Hewitt & Jane Askew - Churchwardens Dave and Jane are trustees, along with the PCC (Parochial Church Council). They are responsible for making decisions about the running of the church so they're good people to ask about what's going on!
Nicole - Cleaner Nicole does a great job tidying up after everyone and keeping things clean and tidy for all the stuff that goes on here.
