We have a fantastic mix of people here at Christ Church Alsager - and we believe in everyone using their God-given gifts as part of the church, so that we can express our love for God and our love for others most effectively. There are plenty of ways to get involved.
Here are just a few of the people you may meet:
Rev Toby May - Our Vicar since 2006 - Married to Helen, 2 daughters, Blackburn Rovers supporter (sympathy appreciated) & owner of a blue dog called Paws.
Helen May - Our Community Contact - Married to Toby, 2 daughters, organiser of many church activities, keen gardener.
Debbie Preston - Our Administrator - Mother of 4, providing a warm welcome in our church office - the first point of contact for pretty much everything!
Matt Brown - Our Youth Leader - Passionate about young people developing their full potential
Rachel Mason - Our Children's & Families' Leader - Enthusiastic about inspiring children and their families to explore faith and discover God's love
Alan Alcock - Our Verger - Record keeper for all things funeral, matrimonial and baptismal - also does a good line in crazy science demonstrations
Geoff Chatterley & Janice Mills - Our Churchwardens - Trustees, along with the PCC (Parochial Church Council) - responsible for making decisions about the running of the church - so they're good people to ask about what's going on!
Our Leadership Team - Toby, Helen, Jonathan, Andrea, Joelle, Andrew & Andrea - A vibrant team who listen out for God's guiding and support the vicar's role by providing vision and direction to the church
Nicole - Our Cleaner - Does a great job tidying up after everyone and keeping things clean and tidy for all the stuff that goes on here
